Our Story
Fire & Iron Productions began in 2017 as a collaboration between two friends, Marcus Wood and Peter Turner. Originally conceived as a vehicle for their creativity, it became a testing ground for filmmaking allowing them to learn and practice their craft from the ground up.

Through the success of their early work amongst the student body and through pitching in various university funded programs and competitions, they began to amass the experience needed to run a full team, incrementally improving on their equipment and gaining a following of likeminded creatives.

Several short films later, this culminated in applying to the 168 Film Festival: A timed Christian event in which participate teams would be given a bible verse at random and had 168 hours to film and edit the project. The resulting film: The Other Way, was nominated for 15 awards and took home Best Actor and Best Scriptural Integration.

Then the pandemic hit, and like most other creative industry work, everything came to a halt. By the grace of God, the company was kept afloat during this time and restructured slightly, building a sound booth and recording capabilities to find alternative ways of producing remotely and moving into audio work to stay running.

However this wasn't to be the last of the difficulties, and sadly in 2022 Peter's father passed away after battling cancer. This eventually led to Peter graciously giving over his share of the company in order to move away and spend more time with his family.

This took many months to process, and after a lot of prayer and thought, Marcus felt that the best course forward would be to build upon the success of The Other Way and inspired by his own faith, transform the company into a fully Christian endeavour.

During this difficult transition period, a few individuals came alongside to help Marcus shape the direction, aims and mission of this new company. Now, a year on from that official change the company is beginning to stabilise and we pray that in partnering with individuals and churches we can share the light, truth and love of God with all.
